St. Wenn Car Park is owned by the Parish Council and is open to the public 24/7 and is curerently free of charge. By way of some “history” – it was suggested that a car park was needed, so in 1987 it was agreed that a plot of land be sought, and negotiations began with a local farmer. It was also requested of Cornwall Council at that time was that a 30mph speed limit be imposed around St Wenn Parish. The speed limit was finally put in place in 2023! It is now 20mph in the villages.
The car park finally became a reality in 2003 when the land was registered in St. Wenn Parish Council’s name and work began, fences erected, ground levelled, and 803 grade hardcore laid. This surface soon showed signs of wear so Tarmac was budgeted for and completed in three stages by 2025.
